The Curriculum and Instruction (EDCI) graduate program, part of the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership, provides Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree opportunities. Our department features diverse programs tailored to support students' academic and career objectives, whether in educational research, teaching, supervision, curriculum leadership, teacher preparation, or consulting across all educational levels - from elementary to higher education. Certain M.Ed. specializations provide pathways to teacher certification, including options for non-education bachelor's degree holders pursuing teaching credentials. Additional offerings include independent M.Ed. tracks designed for current educators and professionals. For those focused on research, we provide master's programs through the Teaching & Learning, Policy & Leadership (TLPL) department, leading to an M.A. degree.
Those applicants who have earned or will earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree from a nationally recognized institution in another country) are eligible to be considered for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Maryland
