The Print Media Emphasis explores innovative artistic methods through cross-disciplinary studies involving mark-making and gestural techniques using physical, mechanical, and digital instruments. Students build a solid grounding in art history and theory while examining historical, conceptual, and critical perspectives on print media, creating a foundation for exploring technical and material dimensions of print-based work. The program investigates manual, photographic, and digital printing techniques, focusing on dynamic material experimentation. This emphasis supports diverse printmaking approaches, including 2D/3D multiples, artist books, installations, performances, documentation, and other mixed-media expressions.
