The Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies provides five undergraduate options: two majors, two minors, and a certificate program. Every major and minor begins with an interdisciplinary foundation course, followed by a research methods class and various thematic and theoretical courses from different College departments. Majors pursue additional coursework and conclude their studies with an independent research project guided through the senior capstone seminar.
Through Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, students gain versatile analytical skills to examine social concerns through diverse academic lenses such as anthropology, history, legal studies, literature, political science, psychology, and sociology.
