Our APA-accredited PsyD program draws students nationwide who excel on the Professional Practice of Psychology Examination. As an NCSPP member institution, our faculty actively engage with this national network of professional training programs while participating in APA educational initiatives.
Students gain hands-on experience through UIndy's extensive network of over 40 practicum sites and 75 placement opportunities. During the required two-year clinical training, we carefully match students with settings aligned with their career goals, including VA hospitals, university counseling centers, psychiatric facilities, community mental health centers, hospital networks, correctional institutions, and specialized treatment centers.
The respected PsyD curriculum at UIndy delivers comprehensive foundational knowledge while developing essential clinical, diagnostic, and research competencies for professional practice.
This 111-credit program typically spans five years, including internship. Students may pursue an optional MA degree (requiring 9 additional credits). Full-time enrollment throughout the academic year and summers enables completion in the shortest timeframe.
Applicants must have the Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred for MA and required for PsyD.
Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum scores of at least IBT 100, CBT/TWE 250/5.0 or paper-based 603, IELTS - 7.0 required.
