The Psychology Department at the University of Texas - Arlington offers outstanding prospects for motivated students pursuing careers in psychological sciences. Our Ph.D. program in Experimental Psychology focuses on mentored research opportunities. Those drawn to Industrial/Organizational Psychology should consider our specialized Master's track. The department is also developing a new concentration in Health and Neuroscience Psychology. Prospective doctoral candidates with aligned research interests are invited to apply to our experimental psychology program. Graduate students benefit from comprehensive training in experimental methods while pursuing specialized research in psychological sciences or health/neuroscience, with faculty mentorship established before enrollment. Our scientifically rigorous program covers traditional psychology domains such as animal behavior, cognitive studies, developmental psychology, evolutionary psychology, human learning, neural modeling, neuroscience, personality research, quantitative methods, industrial/organizational psychology, and social psychology.
