The Counseling Psychology program at the University of Minnesota acknowledges and strives to comprehensively examine evolving societal demographics, the growing interconnectedness of our global community, and the necessity for pertinent research and mental health services to respond to these worldwide changes. We honor and appreciate the importance of cultural and individual differences in society, encompassing diversity across age, ability, ethnic background, gender, gender identity, language, nationality, race, religion, cultural heritage, sexual orientation, and economic standing. As a graduate education initiative, we dedicate ourselves to fostering fairness and inclusion in attracting, supporting, educating, and professionally developing Counseling Psychology faculty and students, aspiring for them to contribute to resolving multicultural issues affecting individuals globally.
