The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) non-thesis program offers advanced coursework focused on practical applications, ideal for working engineers seeking to enhance their expertise without pursuing research-oriented careers. Notably, the MEE program qualifies as one year of experience toward Professional Engineer certification.
This curriculum emphasizes electrical engineering design, systems management, manufacturing processes, and operational principles. Participants can concentrate on one of four specialization tracks within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department: Control and Power Systems, Electromagnetics and Microelectronics, Electronics and Computing, or Signals and Communications. With faculty mentorship, students may culminate their MSEE studies through a capstone project addressing real-world engineering challenges.
The program also permits elective coursework beyond the electrical engineering discipline, including classes from other Cullen College departments, the Business Administration College, and the Natural Sciences and Mathematics College. This adaptable structure enables learners to tailor their degree to align with their professional aspirations.
