The thesis track is available to qualified students pursuing research or project-based studies. Those choosing this path must submit a formal request to the department chair, with thesis committees requiring approval from both the chair and Graduate College Dean. The Thesis Committee Chair must be an ECE Department faculty member, though interdisciplinary projects may include a co-chair from any WMU department. Alongside the required 24 course credits, thesis students must complete six credits of ECE 7000: Master's Thesis and successfully present their research.
