The Bachelor of Music (BMus) in Instrumental Performance at The Hartt School is an intensive program tailored for highly skilled and driven students pursuing professional performance careers. Courses like Audience Communication, Music Career Strategies, and Orchestral Repertoire Studies equip students with essential career skills, from contract discussions and recording production to stage presence, audition preparation, and musical selection. Succeeding as a performer demands rigorous musical education and adaptability. Hartt's instrumental program provides instruction in performance techniques, teaching methods, and professional growth. Students gain experience through solo performances, chamber groups, and large ensembles, covering both classical and contemporary works. Collaborative performance opportunities include accompanying opera, dance productions, and musical theater. You can apply if you are currently enrolled in high school or secondary school, or if you have completed high school or secondary school, but have not started a degree.
You will be required to present the following results: 2.75 (out of 4.0); 3.75 (out of 5.0); 80% (out of 100); 70% (out of 100) India/Canada.
