The carillon program is directed by University Carillonist Joey Brink. Joey performs weekdays during academic terms, Monday through Friday from 11:45 AM until 12:15 PM. Crafted by the Royal Eijsbouts Bell Foundry in Asten, Netherlands, the Williams Carillon was installed at the University of Denver on October 24, 1999. Featuring 65 bells, it ranks among North America's most substantial carillons. During summer months, the Summer Carillon Recital Series brings distinguished carillon players from around the country to perform on this instrument. A cherished campus tradition is the Holiday Carillon Recital, held on the second Sunday afternoon of December each year.
