The Master of Social Work degree equips graduate students with skills for advanced social work practice. Our goal is to cultivate tomorrow's social work leaders who can address evolving challenges at local, national, and international levels.
Social work's fundamental purpose is to improve quality of life and fulfill essential human requirements, focusing especially on vulnerable, marginalized, and impoverished populations. Trained social workers find employment in diverse settings including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, mental health centers, senior living communities, government positions, private practices, correctional facilities, businesses, and various public and private organizations serving those in need.
Graduates emerge from our program as skilled, innovative practitioners prepared for advanced social work. Georgia's MSW program maintains full accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education, and our institution ranks among the top 25% of social work graduate programs in the country.
We provide three flexible pathways to obtain your MSW. The full-time option spans four semesters beginning each autumn. Qualified BSW graduates can pursue our accelerated three-semester advanced standing program starting in fall. For working professionals, our part-time track offers afternoon and evening courses across eight semesters, including summers, with fall admission.
