The MIP program prepares students for careers in both private and public sectors by providing training in international policy implementation and analysis. This flexible degree enables students to concentrate on various combinations of geographic regions and policy fields.
Administered by the Department of International Affairs, the Master in International Policy (MIP) equips students with skills for analyzing and implementing international policies across different sectors. Students can tailor their studies by selecting from diverse geographic focuses like Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, alongside policy areas such as foreign affairs, globalization, democratization, economic development, and security policy.
This two-year master's program requires completion of at least 36 graduate credit hours (12 three-credit courses). The curriculum includes 6 core courses, 4 specialization courses, 1 elective, and a capstone project. Core courses ensure students meet the program's learning goals, while track courses allow for deeper specialization in chosen policy areas.
