The Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy (MIP) is a two-year, intensive graduate program. Students earn their M.A. by fulfilling core and elective requirements, selecting a specialization, and completing a capstone project. This interdisciplinary program allows participants to take courses across Stanford's academic disciplines. The Governance and Development specialization is overseen by FSI's Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL). Requirements include two mandatory courses plus three electives from the approved list, totaling at least 20 units.
