The Gifted and Creative Education Program's philosophy is built on core principles: that giftedness and creativity manifest uniquely across individuals, that creative potential exists universally and should be cultivated, and that optimal education adapts to each learner's distinct requirements.

These programs immerse participants in understanding how giftedness and creativity appear differently among various populations, how to foster inherent creative abilities, and how to customize education to individual learning needs. The curriculum emphasizes teaching methods, scholarly inquiry, and practical application.

Participants develop expertise in supporting gifted and creative students through experiential learning opportunities and specialized coursework exploring these distinctive educational approaches.

Our tailored doctoral program enables students to pursue advanced research through four specialized concentration areas.

Our graduate researchers gain national recognition for their innovative work. Specialize in assessment and quantitative methods, or collaborate with the renowned Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development. Explore cognitive processes in educational settings while applying research to practical educational challenges, or develop expertise in developmental psychology across all stages of childhood.
