Established as one of the country's pioneering PsyD programs, the Graduate School of Professional Psychology has provided a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree since 1976. The PsyD program's goal is to educate practitioner-scholars at the doctoral level, equipping them with core interpersonal and scientific competencies, practical expertise in psychological evaluation and treatment, and the ability to utilize these capabilities across diverse environments.
The program strives to develop psychologists who enhance societal well-being through their interpersonal sensitivity and abilities. Graduates leave GSPP with a firm understanding of psychology's scientific, ethical, and professional principles, along with assessment and intervention techniques adaptable to various situations and populations.
