Established as one of the country's pioneering PsyD programs, the Graduate School of Professional Psychology has provided a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree since 1976. The PsyD program's goal is to educate practitioner-scholars at the doctoral level, equipping them with core interpersonal and scientific competencies, practical expertise in psychological evaluation and treatment, and the ability to utilize these capabilities across diverse environments.

The program strives to develop psychologists who enhance societal well-being through their interpersonal sensitivity and abilities. Graduates leave GSPP with a firm understanding of psychology's scientific, ethical, and professional principles, along with assessment and intervention techniques adaptable to various situations and populations.

Qualification Requirements

One 1 transcript from each college-university where at least one credit has been earned should be included in your application This can be an uploaded unofficial copy however if admitted you must submit an official copy from each college-university by the 6th week of your first quarter
Two letters are required three letters are strongly encouraged
It is helpful to have one letter speak to your academic abilities
A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly encouraged If your cumulative undergraduate GPA is below a 3.0 please address this in your online application
Applicants for graduate study at the University of Denver must meet a minimum undergraduate GPA of 25 to be considered for admission For applicants with an earned masters degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution the GPA from the graduate degree may be used to meet the GPA requirement
GSPP looks for an undergraduate grade point average GPA of 3.5 and if applicable a graduate GPA of at least a 3.0
GSPP reviews each application in its entirety to determine all assets an applicant brings to the program Please be sure to highlight your strengths if your GPA is lower than our baseline scores
Duolingo scores of 115 or higher minimum TOEFL scores 550 pBT 80 iBT or 6.5 or higher IELTS score
