Women's Studies is a growing academic discipline offering cross-disciplinary insights into women's issues, gender, and sexual identity.
This program fosters cultural understanding, enhances global perspectives, develops critical thinking abilities, and prepares students for careers involving women in various professional settings. Curriculum covers topics like gender dynamics, racial issues, socioeconomic factors, sexuality studies, feminist philosophies, investigative methods, literary works, historical contexts, social structures, artistic expressions, political systems, and additional subjects. The yearly Women's Studies Symposium on campus further enriches the educational experience.
Students must complete a minor or are encouraged to pursue a dual major to enhance their career readiness. Career paths include legal professions, women's healthcare, teaching, therapy, media relations, government work, and corporate sectors. The program also establishes a strong foundation for postgraduate studies.
