The Master of Arts specializing in Latin Education is designed for aspiring teachers seeking to incorporate pedagogical coursework into their studies. This program offers a non-thesis option, requiring students to complete a Special Teaching Project instead. Prospective candidates without secondary teaching certification are advised to obtain it through the School of Education while enrolled in this program. Coursework for both the M.A. and certification can be completed simultaneously, typically requiring three years to fulfill all requirements. Note that this degree by itself doesn't meet state certification standards, and many graduates choose to pursue certification after earning their degree.
