The Department of Classics provides graduate programs culminating in a Master of Arts degree in Classics. Students can select among three specialization tracks: combined Greek and Latin (Classics), Greek alone, or Latin alone. The department also grants a Master of Arts in Latin Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Classical Philology. Graduate students in Classics may additionally pursue a focus in Medieval Studies. THE M.A. IN CLASSICS with a Greek (or Latin) concentration serves as a final degree. While this qualification doesn't progress to a Classics Ph.D., it can complement advanced studies in related disciplines (such as Religious Studies or English). This program is not designed for those aiming to continue toward a Classics doctorate
