Our varied faculty presents an evolving selection of seminar subjects designed to showcase cutting-edge research while building expertise in critical historiography and modern theoretical approaches. Those enrolled in our interdisciplinary program also benefit from engaging courses across cultural anthropology, classics, history, numerous literature disciplines, ethnic studies, gender and women's studies, artistic practices, and digital media.
The program's close-knit environment provides unique chances to collaborate with both resident professors and renowned visiting art historians. Our longstanding Visiting Scholars initiative invites four to six prominent academics annually to share their latest research through graduate seminars, public talks, and casual gatherings.
All MA candidates receive complete financial support for the duration of the two-year program.
Applicants must:
Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or have done work equivalent to that required for such a degree.
Show promise of ability to pursue advanced study and research, as judged by the student’s scholastic record.
Have adequate preparation to enter graduate study in the chosen field. Have at least a 2.75 (2.00=C) undergraduate grade point average.
All international applicants are required to meet a minimum standard of English proficiency.
