UCF's Master of Science in Themed Experience pioneered as the inaugural standalone program of its type at a public institution. Situated in Orlando - the global epicenter of themed entertainment - this program offers exceptional access to internships and industry partnerships.

The MS in Themed Experience curriculum focuses on specialized creative techniques, methodologies, and principles for developing immersive environments including theme parks, aquariums, zoos, retail spaces, restaurants, museums, digital worlds, and exhibitions. Through hands-on projects, you'll master crafting interactive spaces that tell compelling stories, working on everything from individual displays to expansive theme park complexes with multiple storylines. This program deepens your expertise in planning, production, storytelling, and conceptual design.

Graduates emerge ready for creative leadership positions in themed entertainment as producers, set designers, and narrative developers. The acquired skills translate to diverse fields including exhibition design, retail environments, museum curation, and various other creative industries.

Qualification Requirements

The GRE is not required for admission to this program. A statement of interest. Three letters of recommendation from former professors and/or professional individuals. Resume. Portfolio comprised of visual art and design or creative written work. Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. This course-by-course evaluation must show a GPA that is equivalent to a 3.0 from an earned degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. Minimum UCF Requirement for TOEFL/IELTS TOEFL iBT score of 80 IELTS band score of 6.5
