The Historical Performance Department prepares vocalists and musicians to excel in the contemporary professional music scene. Alumni establish themselves as leading figures among emerging Renaissance and Baroque artists, developing profound artistry, adaptability, and professional insight through the Conservatory's curriculum. Distinguished graduates have recently appeared with ensembles including American Bach Soloists, Apollo's Fire (Cleveland Baroque Orchestra), ARTEK, Ayreheart, the Baltimore Consort, Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, Cambridge Consort, Catacoustic Consort, the Folger Consort, Harmonious Blacksmith, Hesperus, Juilliard 415, Les Dlices, Magnificat, Montreal Baroque, New York Collegium, New York's Ensemble for Early Music, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Tempesta di Mare (Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra), and the Waverly Consort. The Artist Diploma represents a specialized, non-degree track for accomplished performers, focusing on repertoire tailored to those ready to launch professional careers.
