The Physics Department provides a versatile multi-track curriculum for students pursuing either a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), enabling them to tailor their coursework to align with professional aspirations. The B.S. in Physics features a foundational curriculum covering both theoretical and experimental physics, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of fundamental principles. Specialized tracks let students concentrate on specific fields, refining their problem-solving abilities while boosting their employability in chosen sectors post-graduation. Graduates emerge ready for advanced studies in physics, engineering, medicine, environmental sciences, astronomy, and related fields, or for diverse career paths like engineering physics, computational physics, or physics education. With small class sizes, undergraduates enjoy personalized attention and opportunities for research and customized senior projects under faculty guidance. Students can choose between two degree paths: the B.A., which allows interdisciplinary combinations such as Physics Education, Biophysics, Information Technology/Data Science, or Technical Writing, or the B.S., which offers deeper specialization.
