Planetary science involves examining the physical and chemical properties of planets within our Solar System and beyond. This field explores planetary formation, orbital dynamics, internal and surface processes, atmospheric conditions, and the origins of life. It integrates principles from astronomy, astrophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, atmospheric studies, space research, plasma physics, chemistry, and biology. The Planetary Science major is designed to explore the fascinating intersections between these fields.
Planetary Science focuses on analyzing planetary bodies in our Solar System and exoplanetary systems. Researchers investigate planet formation, orbital mechanics, structural evolution, surface and atmospheric changes, and the emergence of life.
