The BA/MIA is a sequential degree program jointly provided by UC San Diego's undergraduate International Studies Program (ISP). This initiative integrates master's-level classes during the senior year of the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Students receive their Master of International Affairs after finishing one additional year of studies at the School. Eligibility is restricted to UC San Diego International Studies majors specializing in International Business, Economics, or Political Science. This five-year dual degree, combining a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a Master of International Affairs, is a collaborative effort between the School of Global Policy and Strategy and UC San Diego's ISP. Admission is exclusively available to ISP students concentrating in Economics, Political Science, or International Business at UC San Diego.
