The Cinema and Media Studies Program within the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media provides two distinct pathways for earning an M.A. degree. The Integrated Degree Track (CMS-ID) is designed for students pursuing doctoral studies and academic careers, while the Research Professions Track (CMS-RP) caters to those aiming for professional roles in entertainment, archives, festivals, and similar sectors. Integrated Degree Track (CMS-ID): This pathway prepares students for doctoral programs and future academic careers in teaching and research. The CMS-RP track, meanwhile, equips students with analytical and research skills for diverse professional opportunities in public and industry settings. This track specifically addresses the evolving interdisciplinary landscape of modern media, supporting careers in festival programming, media criticism, archival work, and industry research.
