The Transportation Technology and Policy (TTP) Graduate Group, based at UC Davis's Institute of Transportation Studies, provides M.S. and Ph.D. programs designed to equip students for leadership in shaping a sustainable and fair transportation system. This multidisciplinary program goes beyond conventional engineering education by incorporating diverse fields such as economics, psychology, political science, ecology, and management. TTP students take three foundational courses in Transportation Technology, Transportation Policy, and Data Science, then select a specialization track: Vehicles & Fuels, Demand & Behavior, or Infrastructure & Operations. The curriculum allows students to tailor their studies by developing advanced expertise in areas aligned with their professional aspirations. Beyond classroom learning, students typically participate in research initiatives and can connect with professionals from various sectors through guest lectures, workshops, and internship opportunities.
