Qualification Requirements

While we require GMAT scores, we may consider applicants with high GRE scores. Applicants without GMAT or GRE will not be considered. Students recently admitted to the program have an average GMAT of 680 and a GPA of 3.6. With all applications, official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended and at least two letters of recommendation are required.
Chances of admission are low if the GMAT score is below 650 and GPA is below 3.50.
Students whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL. We expect TOEFL scores to be in the range of 600 (paper-based) or 250 (computer-based) or 100 (internet-based). The TOEFL requirement may be waived if an international student has graduated from an accredited university where the medium of instruction is English. Official copies of all scores (GMAT/GRE/TOEFL) must be sent directly to Virginia Tech.
