The graduate program in speech-language pathology and audiology explores multiple facets of communication, focusing particularly on communication disorders. Coursework encompasses typical communication processes, research techniques, and the study of causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment for speech, language, and hearing impairments. These programs additionally prepare students for New York State licensure required for professional practice beyond educational environments. Those pursuing the MA in speech-language pathology may also become eligible for New York State certification as teachers specializing in speech-language disabilities.
There are no set required pre-requisites for the AuD program. All required prerequisite courses are completed during the first 2 years.
