This rigorous curriculum covers hearing and balance disorders while offering hands-on clinical practice. Doctoral candidates engage in nine consecutive semesters of study, including summer terms, featuring advanced coursework and a culminating capstone project, followed by a full-year clinical externship.
Students explore all aspects of professional practice through courses in anatomy, physiology, hearing assessment, balance evaluation, hearing aid technology, implantable devices, and rehabilitative techniques - preparing them to assess and treat patients across all age groups.
Graduates qualify for American Board of Audiology certification, state licensure, and may pursue ASHA's Clinical Competence in Audiology credential. The program also prepares students for educational audiology certification and specialized animal audiology certification.
