This program is ideal for students pursuing scientific careers in the fast-growing biotechnology field. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, learners design their curriculum by selecting courses across multiple departments to align with their interests and specialization.
Alongside foundational science and math requirements, students can select technical electives from diverse fields including anthropology, biology, chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biochemical pharmacology, medical technology, computer science, and management, tailored to their professional aspirations. Qualified students may participate in internships during the program. Biotechnology professionals enjoy diverse career paths with opportunities in both public and private organizations.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
