This concentration provides optimal academic preparation and guidance for students pursuing advanced studies in medicine, dentistry, or veterinary medicine. The Pre-Medical Concentration incorporates courses beyond the Biotechnology Major requirements, including essential prerequisites for professional schools along with highly recommended supplementary classes. Students must complete a 1-credit seminar in their sophomore or junior year, which introduces admission criteria for medical, dental, and veterinary programs. This seminar assists in creating personalized strategies to meet these requirements, maximizing chances of acceptance into graduate programs. While not mandatory for the concentration, a specialized first-year seminar is available for pre-medical students.
