The biotechnology concentration offers students comprehensive training in molecular and cellular biology, focusing on cutting-edge advancements in fields like genetics, immunology, microbiology, cell physiology, recombinant DNA technology, and tissue culture. This curriculum equips graduates for diverse career paths in research, healthcare professions, as well as opportunities in business, law, and science communication. Through the accelerated B.S./M.S. in Biology program, students can obtain both degrees with just 142 credits rather than the standard 161. The program requires completion of 22 graduate-level credits alongside 120 undergraduate credits. Participants must commit to this track before completing their second year and should carefully plan their junior and senior year coursework in collaboration with their academic advisors.
