The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in culinary arts and hospitality is a 24-month program that equips students with essential skills for career growth in the food service sector. This degree expands on the foundational culinary arts and baking/pastry certificate programs.
Through comprehensive training, you'll acquire professional competencies for the foodservice field, covering: food safety and sanitation protocols, fundamental culinary and baking methods, soup/stock/sauce preparation, nutritional concepts, and beverage service. Advanced curriculum components feature: meat fabrication, vegetable and à la carte cooking, from-scratch cooking techniques, gourmet pantry work, menu design, cost control, and inventory procurement management.
