The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in creative writing combines studio practice with academic coursework. Students participate in writing workshops, forms classes, and literature studies, exploring diverse writing styles and experimenting with various techniques. This journey culminates in a substantial thesis project, usually a full-length manuscript. While the program typically spans three rigorous years, students may opt for a fourth year to focus exclusively on their thesis. All accepted MFA candidates receive financial assistance through teaching assistantships or fellowships, renewable for up to four years based on satisfactory progress.
