The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies is committed to developing principled, thoughtful professionals, researchers, and academics for K-12, higher education, and other learning environments. Through instruction and community engagement, the department works to instill the values, knowledge, and competencies necessary to enhance education locally and regionally, while faculty and student research contributes to national scholarly discourse. Effective leadership demands comprehension of curriculum, instruction, supervision, and administration, along with sensitivity to education's evolving social, political, legal, ethical, and economic dimensions. Aligned with the College's guiding principles, departmental programs tackle these challenges by emphasizing student and community needs, subject mastery and teaching skills, technological integration and evaluation, cooperative and continuous learning, and principles of equity and inclusion. We celebrate diversity, value individuality, and advocate for fairness. The department also sustains collaborative discussions about educational advancement through partnerships with government entities, school systems, and professional associations.
