The Master of Science in Arid Land Studies (MSALS) offers a distinctive cross-disciplinary curriculum that equips students for global careers focused on arid regions, encompassing natural resources, environmental sciences, and related socioeconomic considerations. Each student's program is customized to align with their professional aspirations. This multidisciplinary approach is perfect for learners seeking to broaden their expertise across interconnected fields rather than concentrating on one specific area. All studies must connect to the sustainable utilization and stewardship of dryland environments. MSALS participants can select either the thesis track (24 graduate course credits plus 6 thesis credits and 6 research credits) or the 36-credit non-thesis alternative.
