The School of Law collaborates with the Graduate School to provide a combined program awarding both a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) and a Master of Science in Environmental Toxicology (M.S.). This interdisciplinary program primarily serves students passionate about environmental law who seek scientific expertise in Environmental Toxicology to enhance their legal education.
Students pursuing both degrees must declare their intent by the conclusion of their third or fourth law semester and fulfill the admission criteria for the second degree. Generally, with all prerequisites satisfied, the entire program can be completed in four years, incorporating summer coursework. The Environmental Toxicology M.S. is administered by the Department of Environmental Toxicology. Applicants must gain separate admission to both the Law School and Graduate School. Note that no graduate-level studies in this field may be undertaken prior to law school enrollment.
