The Environmental Humanities Graduate Program fosters an interdisciplinary environment that cultivates intellectual growth and creativity. Here, we equip students to: contemplate humanity's role in a world shared with animals, promote innovative teamwork within and beyond academic settings, and envision progressive approaches to environmental leadership, stewardship, and the connection between ecology and social justice. Students can pursue either an MA or MS degree—this choice is made during application. The key difference between these Master's programs lies in their requirements: the MA mandates language proficiency in an approved language, while the MS involves completing three research methodology courses approved by the EH Graduate Studies Director.
