The Yale School of the Environment (YSE) and Yale Divinity School provide a combined master's program focusing on Religion and Ecology. This unique program caters to students seeking to bridge environmental studies with religious communities in their professional paths, as well as those exploring the cultural and ethical aspects of ecological challenges. Faculty from both institutions, along with Yale's Forum on Religion and Ecology, support this interdisciplinary initiative. Participants pursue either a Master of Environmental Management or Master of Environmental Science at YSE alongside a Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Religion at YDS. The curriculum emphasizes coursework in environmental ethics and the intersection of faith and ecology. Applicants must gain separate admission to both YSE and YDS. With guidance from administrators at both schools, students create personalized academic plans to fulfill all degree requirements. This pioneering joint program represents North America's first of its kind.
