The English Ph.D. program expands upon the foundational and specialized expertise gained during master's studies, enabling advanced exploration in literature, linguistics, or creative writing. Our students engage in comprehensive reading and research to grasp the interrelationships between texts, methodologies, and perspectives that transcend conventional categories of era, region, and literary form. They additionally select and develop specific primary and secondary focus areas while undertaking innovative research at the most rigorous academic level.
