The landscape architecture program aims to propel the field forward via cutting-edge education, research, and community engagement. Both the Bachelor's (B.L.A.) and Master's (M.L.A.) first professional degrees hold accreditation from the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board. Through a carefully structured curriculum spanning each semester, the program cultivates inventive leaders prepared for licensure and careers across public and private sectors.
With a focus on semi-arid environments, the program tackles crucial design and planning challenges essential for building sustainable, resilient, and adaptable communities amid expanding urban populations. During their third year, students spend spring and summer terms off-campus, either completing an extended internship (January to August) or combining international study with a three-month professional placement.
