The Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (B.A.A.) serves as a foundational degree, equipping students for entry into a two-year master's program in architecture or careers in allied design disciplines and built environment professions. This program establishes a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, theories, and technologies that form the basis of architectural practice. Central to the curriculum is the design studio series, where students progressively develop their design abilities through integrative projects that combine all aspects of the creative process.
The Design Studies track caters to students interested in exploring alternative design careers connected to the built environment, including interior design, urban planning, product design, digital technologies, manufacturing processes, energy analysis, construction oversight, property development, and similar areas. This curriculum readies graduates for autonomous architectural practice and academic research, covering architectural design methodologies, historical contexts, structural systems, environmental considerations, project planning, construction techniques, professional ethics, and the broader societal, economic, and ecological impacts of design.
