Landscape architects play a vital role in shaping sustainable and inclusive urban spaces and natural environments. They address environmental challenges posed by climate change and extreme weather while promoting the wellbeing of both people and ecosystems. These professionals create parks, gardens, urban streetscapes, and rehabilitate natural habitats, complementing architects who focus on buildings - landscape architects handle all exterior spaces. Through our accredited curriculum, you'll develop into an environmentally conscious designer who actively listens, fosters trust, and champions ecological causes while emerging as a future industry leader. Our collaborative design methodology prioritizes fairness, diversity, and innovation. Work on practical projects that combine durability, eco-friendliness, and aesthetic appeal in our nationally recognized program. Graduates secure positions with top-tier firms, nonprofit organizations, and government entities including OLIN, Jonathon Alderson, Philadelphia Water Department, Aramark, and numerous others. Our hands-on learning model provides multiple entry points into the field through credit-bearing internships or paid research opportunities with faculty during academic terms or summer breaks. Collaborate directly with instructors on research and design initiatives while making meaningful environmental contributions
