Students aiming for careers in allied health professions (such as Cardiac Rehabilitation, Dentistry, Medicine, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy) should fulfill the Pre-Allied Health Professional Specialization requirements within the kinesiology major. This focused track provides strong foundational preparation for graduate programs in these disciplines as well as post-baccalaureate studies in exercise science. Those earning a BS in Kinesiology with this specialization will gain understanding of fundamental kinesiology concepts and their application to allied health professions.
Kinesiology bachelor's degree candidates can choose from three specializations: EC-12 Physical Education Certification, Exercise Science-Strength & Conditioning, or Pre-Allied Health. All students must complete at least 42 semester credit hours in University Core Courses and a minimum of 23 semester credit hours in Kinesiology Major Requirements.
