This program equips graduates for both professional careers and academic roles in research institutions. It provides diverse course options allowing students to focus on specific areas crucial for acquiring the knowledge and competencies needed to achieve their objectives.
According to Texas A&M University's HRD faculty, Human Resource Development (HRD) enhances learning and performance across individual, team, and organizational levels through specialized domains including lifelong learning, career advancement, training initiatives, and organizational growth. Students can participate in global experiences, professional conferences, and scholarly publishing opportunities.
The Educational Human Resource Development (EHRD) program's Adult Education track cultivates reflective practitioners focused on learner needs and social equity. Our curriculum trains professionals to manage programs and instruct adults in diverse environments such as community organizations, higher education institutions, literacy programs, healthcare settings, and corporate workplaces. The doctoral program prepares graduates for university teaching positions as well as other professional contexts.
Official transcripts: You must submit transcripts from all colleges or universities attended. Transcripts may be uploaded for review; however if you are admitted and intend to enroll, you must provide an official transcript directly to the Office of Admissions before you will be allowed to register for classes.
Note: You do not need to submit a transcript from Texas A&M University. International transcripts must be uploaded with a certified translation and converted to a 4.0 grade point scale to be considered for review. Some of the services the Office of Admissions will accept are: WES, Global Credential Evaluators, SpanTran, SDR Educational Consultants, International Academics Evaluators, and INC (IACE).
A one-page minimum statement of professional intent/career objective: Must indicate why you wish to pursue the degree, and how it relates to your career goals.
A current resume/CV: Please be sure to include the following information, if applicable; Internships held, work experience, publications, presentations, professional organization memberships, volunteer/service activities.
