The specialization in adult and higher education encourages you to examine fundamental concepts and material, offering comprehensive exposure relevant to both career and scholarly goals in this discipline. USD maintains a unique collaboration with the Learning Resources Network (LERN), providing an alternative route to earning this M.A. degree. As a student in USD's educational administration and leadership (EAL) program, you'll develop into a thoughtful leader and proficient educator, making decisions grounded in current theory, research, and practical experience. This reflective approach to leadership involves continuous cycles of analysis and action informed by theoretical, ethical, and professional knowledge.
The EAL programs, continuously accredited by CAEP (previously NCATE) since 1956, cater to professionals including school superintendents, K-12 principals, special education coordinators, curriculum specialists, adult educators, and higher education administrators and faculty. Available at master's, specialist, and doctoral levels, these programs offer flexible delivery options including on-campus, online, or hybrid formats.
