The BS program distinguishes itself from the BA by emphasizing analytical problem-solving and data interpretation when exploring significant social and cultural topics. Consequently, the BS degree necessitates additional science coursework and promotes statistical and mathematical studies, contrasting with the BA's foreign language prerequisite.
Beyond the central curriculum examining race, ethnicity, and gender, every student must complete two minors to earn this degree.
