The Construction Science Program holds accreditation from the American Council for Construction Education. It maintains robust connections with the construction sector through the Construction Industry Advisory Council, a group of construction firms and professionals dedicated to advancing the Construction Science Program at Texas A&M University.
The undergraduate curriculum combines architectural principles, technology, engineering, business, and project management, equipping students to efficiently oversee the entire construction process. Courses cover specialized topics such as building systems, construction materials and techniques, scheduling, cost estimation, structural design, construction management, legal aspects, and business/labor relations. This multidisciplinary method ensures students gain comprehensive exposure to the essential skills required for leadership roles in the construction field.
Graduates in construction management rapidly integrate as key contributors to construction teams, engaging in planning, cost estimation, scheduling, supervision, and facility commissioning with an emphasis on timeliness, safety, and quality. They also have the expertise to collaborate effectively with professional engineers, licensed architects, and clients to address any challenges that may occur.
