The Glenn Department of Civil Engineering ranks among the country's premier civil engineering programs. This discipline serves as a springboard for professional paths in structural engineering, construction materials, project management, geotechnical studies, transportation systems, water resources, and fluid dynamics. Learners can tailor certain degree requirements and electives to focus on specialized fields. High-achieving seniors benefit from our accelerated Bachelor's-to-Graduate pathway to begin their master's studies early. Our ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering program provides seven concentration options to customize students' educational journey. The initial curriculum years build expertise in calculus, engineering principles, physics, and chemistry. Upperclassmen gain comprehensive exposure to core civil engineering domains including structural systems, hydraulic engineering, soil mechanics, transit infrastructure, environmental considerations, construction materials science, and project administration.
