The Glass program at Tyler School of Art and Architecture is a rigorous two-year, 60-credit M.F.A. program featuring close guidance from faculty and renowned visiting artists. Students work in cutting-edge facilities while exploring media experimentation, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and socially engaged public art. Recognized as the nation's #2 M.F.A. glass program by U.S. News & World Report, Tyler Glass fosters individual artistic development, treating glass as one potential medium among many. Our students investigate connections between glasswork, sculpture, installation art, digital media, performance, cultural studies, craft, and critical theory - an innovative approach that has created one of the field's most supportive alumni networks. Situated in Philadelphia's thriving arts scene with its rich glass heritage, and just hours from New York's cultural resources, Tyler M.F.A. candidates expand their artistic practice, develop professional opportunities, and secure teaching positions at prestigious institutions.
